Masons use things like trowels, a square, a compass, and a plumb as symbols, what are they for? PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 14 March 2005
Masons use the tools of the builders trade, as symbols which remind us of our sacred not "secret" beliefs. They are also used to teach us how to lead a productive and moral life. For instance, the trowel in a literal sense is used to spread the mortar that cements the bricks of a building together. We as Masons are taught to use it for the noble and glorious cause, of spreading the cement of brotherly love, uniting Masons in the building of our beloved fraternity, and our community. If you are interested in learning more about Masonry, please contact your nearest lodge. We are always looking to extend our brotherhood.
